On December 9, 2026, at Proxima in Warsaw, The Ocean bring their ever-shifting brand of heavy music back to the stage. Formed in Berlin in 2001 around guitarist Robin Staps, the band started as a loose collective before locking into a core lineup, keeping that open-minded spirit in the way they write and perform.
Their sound lives where post-metal, progressive metal and experimental edges overlap: massive riffs that suddenly give way to airy, cinematic passages, with orchestral colors and, in recent years, a sharper electronic presence.
