On November 5, 2026, at La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, the a cappella sextet Take 6 presents Rhapsody, a program that revisits the standards that shaped the history of jazz. Formed in the late 1980s, the group established a vocal approach in which gospel, jazz and R&B answer one another through tight harmonies, countermelodies, scat, deep bass and rhythms carried solely by the voices, even to the point of vocal instrumental imitation.

The lineup features Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley, a precise balance of timbres and roles between lead vocals, bass and vocal percussion.

Recipients of ten Grammy Awards, they have collaborated with Quincy Jones, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau and The Manhattan Transfer, while maintaining an identity steeped in swing and harmonic sophistication. From their eponymous debut album to The Standard, Believe and Iconic, their trajectory builds a bridge between spirituality and the great classics.
