Info
The Sisters of Mercy play Fållan, Johanneshov, on 16 November 2026. Led by Andrew Eldritch, the Leeds-formed band has drawn a clear line between post-punk, gothic rock and shadowy new wave since 1980, built on a deep baritone and the steady drive of programmed drums. On stage, the group revisits early singles and First and Last and Always (1985), opens up the spacious synth-led textures of Floodland (1987), and leans into the more direct guitars of Vision Thing (1990). Around Eldritch, a rotating core keeps the sound lean and precise: minimal beats, bass pressure, drones and keyboards, riffs stripped to the bone. The setlist tends to weave historical tracks with road-tested unreleased pieces the band has refined over years of touring, reworking arrangements without smoothing their edges. Between repetition, tension and melody, the show frames that mix of rock, electronics and alternative pop that has defined the project on stage, with Doktor Avalanche setting the pulse and Eldritch’s voice cutting through the haze.
