The Association PROD’IJ presents: Assassin.

Assassin is a French hip-hop group, founded in Paris in the mid-1980s and led by Rockin’ Squat, a prominent figure in politically engaged French rap. From its earliest days the group developed conscious hip-hop, producing politically charged lyrics and asserting artistic freedom.

Assassin was the first French rap group to achieve a gold record independently, producing and distributing their music through their own label, Assassin Productions. The group thus became a reference point and an influential force in this culture both in France and internationally. With more than one million albums sold and widely recognized tracks, Assassin has influenced several generations of artists.

In 2026, the group returned with a new album and a tour, remaining faithful to its identity and artistic standards.
