Gilbert Montagné returns to his Bourbonnais homeland and takes the stage at the Opéra de Vichy on August 21, 2026. A pianist-singer with a unifying repertoire, he reunites with the stage accompanied by seven musicians and backing vocalists for a set that moves between his classics and his new material. On va s’aimer, Les Sunlights des tropiques, The Fool… these songs that marked French pop meet tracks from L’amour dans ses mains, his new album announced for March 27, 2026, written with his collaborators Claude Lemesle, Didier Barbelivien and Erick Benzi.

At the center are his instantly recognisable voice and piano playing, for a concert focused on melody, groove and the live moment. Montagné blends disco-pop, French variety and soulful shades, privileging a collective energy: sing-along choruses, danceable rhythms and quieter, more intimate passages. Rooted in the Allier, this engagement carries a special resonance for the artist, who forges a direct connection with the audience and revisits several decades of songs while infusing them with the energy of his new chapter.
