Mariza

Mariza returns to Paris on January 27 and 28, 2027 at L’Olympia (Paris) to present Amor, her new album centered on the feeling that gives it its title. Each song explores a nuance of love, alternating between intimate confessions and questioning, in a constant dialogue between traditional fado and contemporary arrangements. It showcases the blend she has cultivated since her beginnings: songwriting faithful to Lisbon’s musical codes, yet open to other sonic landscapes.

Born in Maputo and raised in the Mouraria district of Lisbon, Mariza has been part of the fado revival around the turn of the 2000s. She combines precise diction, a storyteller’s sensibility and a wide-ranging voice capable of carrying both stripped-down fados and richer orchestrations. This dual approach, rooted in the casas de fado as well as in encounters with other Lusophone and Mediterranean repertoires, is fully audible on Amor.

On stage at the Olympia, she will unveil these new pieces and revisit key moments from her career, from Fado em Mim to her reinterpretations of Amália Rodrigues. The concert is conceived as a narrative thread, where the Portuguese guitar converses with more modern textures and where Mariza navigates the many moods of love without losing the soul of fado.
