Info
Kicking 20 Years brings together three approaches to punk and its margins on 16 May 2026 at Espace Julien, Marseille.
Les Sheriff, formed in Montpellier in 1984, play direct, fast and melodic punk—somewhere between ’77 punk, rock’n’roll and a power-pop streak with tight choruses. From Joue pas de rock’n’roll to Pan!, their discography maps out short, nervous, no‑nonsense songwriting. After a break at the end of the 1990s, the band returned to the stage with the same economy of words and a taste for songs that go straight to the point.
Poésie Zéro, born in Paris in 2010 and now a trio, draws on NOFX, Kickback and Ludwig von 88 for a French‑language punk that mixes social critique with deadpan humour. Seemingly candid lyrics, a DIY spirit and raw energy define their line. Album bleu pt1 (2023) continues a run of releases that favors short formats and rough‑hewn melodies.
Schlaasss, a duo made up of Charlie Dirty and Daddy Schwartz, blurs the lines between rap, electronics, punk and industrial textures. Spoken or chanted vocals, dry rhythms and noisy soundscapes carve out territory close to experimental hip‑hop, electro‑punk and noise. Dark humour and blunt directness collide with a physical, danceable dimension designed for live performance.
