Ultra Vomit

Ultra Vomit brings back their knack for metal pastiche and in-your-face jokes. On April 10, 2027 at the Centre des Congrès de Haute-Saintonge in Jonzac, the Nantes quartet delivered a set that upends the rules: death and grind shoulder to shoulder with straight-up heavy, galloping punk and singalong choruses, all in French and never taking itself seriously. On stage they switch from one spoof to another, with pop-culture nods, razor-sharp riffs and meticulously timed breaks, alternating growls, screams and clean vocals.

They’re promoting their fourth album, Le Pouvoir de la Puissance, while also reviving standout tracks from M. Patate, Objectif: Thunes and Panzer Surprise!. Seasoned by clubs and festivals like Hellfest, the band plays tight and prioritizes impact: short sequences, tempo-based gags, and rapid stylistic shifts that move from furious blast sections to heavy melodies. The audience isn’t left out: group vocals, call-and-response, fake interludes and quick sketches punctuate the show. A concert designed like a roller coaster, where the energy of extreme music serves the joke—and vice versa—for people who love metal without taking it too seriously.
