Stef Bos

On 13 May 2026 Stef Bos will perform at Maaspoort in Venlo. The singer and songwriter, born in Veenendaal, developed his career across the Netherlands, Belgium and South Africa. He writes and sings in Dutch and Afrikaans, in a tone that stays close: clear, narrative and direct. Since his breakthrough with "Papa" (on the album Is dit nu later) he has built a repertoire in which family, memory, identity and questions of meaning recur.

Live, Bos alternates songs with short stories. Sometimes intimate and acoustic, sometimes more expansive, always with attention to the lyrics. His years in South Africa have coloured his sound with subtle rhythms and local influences, without losing his roots in kleinkunst (Dutch singer-songwriter cabaret) and pop. Expect a set that runs through his catalogue, from early songs to more recent work, with studio and live versions blending into one another.
