Future Palace

Future Palace will play Melkweg in Amsterdam on 9 October 2026. The Berlin trio — vocalist Maria Lessing, guitarist Manuel Kohlert and drummer Johannes Früchtenicht — blends post-hardcore with metalcore, alternative rock and electronic layers. Live it’s all about contrast: fierce outbursts alongside quiet breathing space, clean vocals that give way to screams, riffs colliding with pulsing synths. That mix gives the songs a taut drive, with parts that stick without resorting to gimmicky effects.

The lyrics address themes such as mental health, fraught relationships and the path back to oneself. On stage, that translates into songs that swing between introspection and communal release, with dynamics as the guiding thread. Tracks from Escape (2020) and Run (2022), both released via Arising Empire, form the core: choruses that burst open after propulsive verses, breakdowns that sweep the room along, and electronic details that tint the whole thing with a cinematic touch.

At Melkweg Future Palace will seek out that tension again and again: melody next to aggression, rough next to refined. A set that moves, pulls and pushes, in which every transition counts.
