On October 1, 2026, Douwe Bob will perform at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Amsterdam singer-songwriter blends folk, country, pop and Americana, with a fondness for acoustic instruments, guitar and piano. He broke through in 2012 with The Best Singer-Songwriter of the Netherlands and has since built a repertoire of stories and melodies that lean on his voice and an analog, retro-tinged sound. After his debut Born in a Storm (2013) came Pass It On (2015). In 2016 he represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Slow Down,” taken from Fool Bar, and a year earlier his duet with Anouk, “Hold Me,” was released. The Shape I’m In (2018) and Born to Win, Born to Lose (2021) continued his mix of intimate ballads and more robust material, rooted in Americana and pop.
