On February 23, 2026 at The Garrison in Toronto, Somebody’s Child brings the indie rock pulse shaped by Dublin songwriter Cian Godfrey. First noticed with a run of self-released singles at the end of the 2010s, the project set its tone with the 20-Something EP in 2020, then shifted toward a more reflective edge on Hope, Amongst Other Things in 2022. Signed to Frenchkiss Records, the 2023 self-titled album ties it all together: direct guitars, taut rhythms and a slightly husky voice that leans into stories of city life, the twenties and social tension. On stage, Godfrey fronts a full band with a live-first approach, letting tight arrangements and clear melodies do the talking. The set draws across that catalogue, threading indie rock, alternative pop and post-punk shades without losing focus.
