Goat

On July 13, 2026, Goat lands at The Pearl in Vancouver. The Swedish collective has, since the early 2010s, shaped a strand of psychedelic rock that blends afrobeat, funk, folk and other traditions, performed behind masks and costumes and carried by a shifting lineup. Built on saturated guitar riffs, dense layers of percussion and choral voices, their tracks often stretch into repeating patterns where krautrock pulses meet hand-played grooves.

World Music (2012) set the foundation, followed by Commune (2014) and Requiem (2016), then the rarities collection Headsoup (2021) and the more folk-psych leaning Oh Death (2022). On stage, Goat treats the concert like a communal ritual: extended rhythms, percussive breaks, flutes and shakers circling fuzz guitars, vocals rising together rather than in solo showpieces. Sets tend to move across their catalogue, reshaping studio versions with longer bridges, call-and-response moments and tight vamps that keep the flow alive. In Vancouver, that approach unfolds up close at The Pearl, focused on groove, momentum and the collective drive that defines Goat’s live identity.
