Goat

On July 14, 2026, Goat brings its masked, shape-shifting psych rock to The Pearl in Vancouver. The Swedish collective treats the stage like a shared ritual, blending saturated guitar riffs, heavy percussion and choral vocals with shades of afrobeat, funk, folk and other traditions. More a rotating collective than a fixed band, Goat cultivates anonymity and a mythic backstory while keeping the focus on trance-inducing grooves and percussive textures.

World Music (2012) set the tone with hypnotic repetition and fuzzed-out hooks, followed by Commune (2014) and Requiem (2016), which deepened the kraut-leaning pulse and expanded the palette. After live recordings and one-off releases gathered on Headsoup (2021), Oh Death (2022) steered the writing toward a more psych-folk feel without losing the stretched rhythmic patterns at the core of their sound.

On stage, the lineup stays fluid but tightly rooted in interlocking drums, cyclical guitar lines and voice-in-unison mantras.
