Dany Boon returns to the stage with Clown Is Not a Profession, a one-man show in which he reconnects with his favorite playground: telling everyday life in his own way. A comedian, actor and director, he has fashioned a world of his own, shaped by memories of the North, drawling accents and affectionate portraits of characters you meet everywhere. Here he blends personal anecdotes, everyday scenes and familiar dissonances, drawing on what has followed him since his beginnings: the observation of little habits, misunderstandings, family, travel, and that way of defusing situations with a sidestep. You’ll find his direct voice, his shifts of pace and his taste for stories that begin simply and end where you least expect, always close to the audience.
