Cœur de Pirate

On December 9, 2026, Cœur de Pirate will perform at Le fil Saint-Étienne to present her album Cavale, in a set conceived for the stage. A singer-songwriter and pianist, the Montréal native has traced a clear line between pop and French chanson since 2008, alternating between intimacy and rhythmic drive. Dividing her time between Quebec and Europe, she carries her stories in French with a precise voice, memorable lyrics and melodies that register immediately.

With Cavale she moves from the piano to motion, from the intimate to the pulsing. The staging follows these shifts, alternately revealing the artist alone at the keys and the performer who fills the space. Her way of evoking emotion—melancholic without heaviness and vibrant without grandstanding—is audible in a sequence of songs conceived as a chiaroscuro-like narrative.
