Info
On May 30, 2026, Lou Trotignon presents Mérou at the Palais des Congrès de Tours. A comedian, he retraces the course of his transition in an intimate solo performance. Armed with his account, he revisits his own story, questions his body and identity, where the boxes others place no longer suffice.
On stage, Lou reenacts the very concrete steps that shook him: starting testosterone, the physical and social changes, the awkwardness of those close to him, the doubts that creep in and the joys that arise. He speaks candidly, image by image, with a humor that does not hide the reality. He accepts the possible discomfort and turns it into a space to speak, breathe, and tell his story.
Throughout Mérou, we also follow him as he discovers the queer world—its codes and communities—and how this changes the way one loves, desires, and presents oneself. Behind this singular trajectory, the show opens up common questions: how far can one reinvent oneself, what to do with the labels we are put into, how to carve out a path outside the script that was expected.
