I am not a girl, I am a comet. Comet is the title of Théa’s EP; it evokes the fear of falling and a sense of urgency. Instinctively punk and hybrid—pulsing with rave beats and tinged with emocore, yet threaded with pop melodies—these five tracks explore rage and existential doubt. Her lyrics are a cathartic outlet that depict the chaos experienced by this 23-year-old queer girl. Wrestling with her inner demons, torn between running headlong and the desire for emancipation from oppressive norms, political forces, and the specter of climate collapse, Théa gives voice to the urgency of a generation.
