Dick Annegarn offers a set centered on what runs through his writing: attentiveness to the living and a sobriety of form. A Dutch singer and guitarist, he blends chanson and folk with simple, sometimes bare lyrics, carried by a green guitar specially made for this tour by luthier Thomas Fejoz. On stage he alternates between guitar, harmonica, light percussion and a few a cappella passages. The songs evoke nature, the ways to care for it, and the idea that we are part of it. The performance remains direct, the arrangements are simple, and the breath moves like wind through the trees.
