La Grande Sophie

La Grande Sophie returns to the stage solo on May 29, 2026, at the Centre des Congrès de Haute-Saintonge in Jonzac. Inspired by her book Tous les jours, Suzanne (Phébus Editions), she offers a hybrid format staged by Johanna Boyé, between readings and songs, like a series of shared correspondences. She retraces her career—nine albums to date—highlighting signature songs and memorable encounters. The programme moves through childhood, the stages of life, travels, moods, behind-the-scenes realities and the evolution of a profession over time. Time, a theme she often explores, serves here as the unifying thread.

Alone with her lyrics and instruments, she opens her notebooks, presents pared-back versions and explains what connects the pieces. Between touches of humour and more intimate moments, La Grande Sophie paints the portrait of an artist grounded in everyday life, revisiting her journey while continuing to write the next chapter.
