Ousanousava, a group formed in Réunion in the early 1980s, has been shaping since its first compositions in 1982 a Creole song rooted in maloya, séga and island blends. From their self-titled debut album released in 1989 to Ça mon pays in 2021, the band has released fifteen records and performed across the island, in mainland France and throughout the Indian Ocean region. Their music draws on the language, rhythms and stories of Réunion, with simple, direct songwriting that has endured over time.
On 8 May 2026 at Jam Montpellier, Ousanousava presents a set that revisits their albums and brings together standout tracks from their repertoire. Eight musicians share the stage—vocals, percussion and guitars—to showcase maloya, séga and their variations. The concert highlights the group’s sonic identity and the continuity of a musical journey that has remained true to its roots.
