Anthony Kavanagh « Jet Lag »

Anthony Kavanagh presents Jet Lag, a stand-up show about the misalignments that follow us everywhere: time zones, cultures, language. On April 30, 2027, at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse in Paris, the Quebec comic unfolds a traveller’s tale between two continents, shifting from a Montreal accent to distinctly Parisian mannerisms, and from boarding lines to linguistic false friends. A leading figure in Quebec stand-up, he alternates improvisation, impersonation, music and movement. Jet Lag explores nomadic life, misunderstandings and those moments of disorientation when we try to readjust, playing with language and social codes. First revealed in the 1990s and also active in animation as a voice actor, Anthony Kavanagh returns to the stage with his taste for play and transformation. The show is conceived as a travel log, balanced between controlled turbulence and landings, lingering on our differences and on what brings us together.
