Anthony Kavanagh presents Jet Lag, a stand-up show that explores jet lag in all its forms. A Québécois living between two shores—comedian, actor and singer—he shuttles between cultures and accents, between the everyday life of an artist on the move and the small collisions that occur when you change time zone, language or frame of reference. True to his style, he blends personal storytelling, improvisation, impressions and musical touches, stringing together lived situations, misunderstandings and quick, vivid character sketches. Familiar territories reappear: cultural differences, relationships, a connected society and the search for meaning, all treated with direct writing and his distinctive sense of timing. Jet Lag observes our era through the prism of movement—the moment when you no longer quite know where you’re speaking from—and that is where the humour lands.
