Placebo

Placebo will be at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam on 27 October 2026. Since the mid-1990s Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal have formed the core of the band, with their distinctive mix of angular guitars, dark melodies and Molko’s nasal, direct vocals. Their self-titled 1996 debut set the tone immediately, driven by “Come Home”, and soon earned them the opportunity to tour as support for David Bowie. In the years that followed, Placebo steadily built a memorable catalogue, including Sleeping With Ghosts and, after a period away from the studio, Loud Like Love.

Live, Placebo explore the tension between tightness and brooding intensity: pulsing basslines, layered guitar textures, tempo shifts that slowly unfold the songs. Expect a set that moves through the various phases of their work, from the rougher early days to later favourites, with room for tracks that take on a different colour live. Molko and Olsdal are exacting about dynamics and timing, without frills, so the songs bite a little harder on stage. An evening for those who prefer Placebo where the band is at its strongest: in the direct line between stage and audience, with no detours.
