On 17 November 2026, Bloc Party and Interpol land at AFAS Live in Amsterdam for an evening centered around razor-sharp guitars and songs that get you moving right away.
Bloc Party built their reputation on the nervous energy of Silent Alarm and the tight, angular riffs that sharpened indie in the 2000s once again. Expect a set where rhythm and melody push each other, with Kele Okereke at the helm: clearly sung, razor-sharp in execution, always moving forward.
Interpol brings the nocturnal side of New York to the fore: cool post-punk, pulsating basslines, and that unmistakable sense of urban melancholy. From the tension of Turn On the Bright Lights to their later, more layered work, their songs are driven by precision and underlying intensity.
As an extra layer, Heartworms (Jojo Orme) features on the program, with a tight mix of post-punk, coldwave and dark pop. Dry drums, twitchy guitars and spoken-sung lines set the tone even before the headliners take the stage.
