Alfred García

Born in El Prat de Llobregat, Catalonia, Alfred García has developed since his teens as a singer-songwriter, shaped by early musical training in voice and trombone and later broadened by practice on guitar, piano and drums. His writing sits within an author-driven pop that blends jazz, alternative rock and Spanish and Catalan song traditions, often arranged acoustically with a clear focus on melody. Before his national breakthrough he self-released Beginning (2012) and Inblack (Volume One) (2016), after also auditioning for the TV show La Voz that same year. His profile rose in 2017 through Operación Triunfo, where he reached the final, and he went on to represent Spain at Eurovision 2018 alongside Amaia Romero with “Tu canción”. García has since pursued a solo path with 1016 (2018), 1997 (2021) and T’estimo es te quiero (2025), albums that extend a repertoire positioned between contemporary pop, balladry, Mediterranean hues and touches of soul and jazz. A regular on Spanish festival stages, he continues to evolve his project while remaining true to a personal, bilingual songwriting voice.
