Shin Yong Jae

Active on the South Korean scene since the late 2000s, Shin Yong Jae first established himself as an R&B and ballad singer within the vocal group 4Men, where his voice quickly became central. With 4Men, he took part in the revival of male vocal ensembles in South Korea, performing slow R&B tracks, pop ballads and covers of standards, and increasing his presence through concerts, television appearances and recordings for drama soundtracks. At the same time, Shin Yong Jae developed a solo path consisting of digital singles, collaborations with other K‑pop and hip‑hop artists and regular contributions to drama OSTs, where his repertoire leaned toward very melodic ballads with spare arrangements focused on the vocal line. Around the turn of the 2020s he extended this singing activity by forming the vocal duo 2F, which allowed him to explore an even more intimate repertoire between acoustic pop and light R&B, while maintaining an active presence in concerts and on live‑performance streaming platforms.
