Soffie
Born in June 1999 in Backnang, Baden-Württemberg, and raised between Backnang and Auenwald, Soffie—whose real name is Sofie Aspacher—develops a German-language pop song project marked by direct, contemporary songwriting. After university studies in American Studies in Tübingen and later in Berlin, she also studied popular music at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim, an environment that supported her emergence in the early 2020s. The name Soffie gained wider recognition in 2024 with “Für immer Frühling,” a song she says she composed at the end of 2023; it reached number 11 on the German singles chart. The song also assumed a particular public role when it was taken up in the context of demonstrations against the far right in Germany and Austria in 2024. Soffie’s work fits into a song-focused pop style, driven by clear melodies, restrained delivery, and lyrics that link intimate expression to a collective echo.
