Dazegxd

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dazegxd is part of New York's DIY dance scene with an approach that moves between jungle, hardcore, acid, house, techno, trap and rap without confining itself to a single framework. Linked to the renewed interest in jungle in the early 2020s, Dazegxd has developed a broader language, informed as much by early-2000s rave music as by video-game aesthetics, with roots in Canarsie and references to his Jamaican and Ghanaian heritage. Dazegxd's sets and productions favor ruptures of rhythm, shifts in texture, and collisions between club music and more hybrid forms. Dazegxd has played across the United States and internationally, in settings ranging from clubs to radio, and has shared bills with artists from diverse scenes such as Nia Archives, TisaKorean, Brodinski, gum.mp3 and Quadeca. He has also recorded guest mixes for The Lot Radio and Rinse FM, and hosts a monthly residency on NTS Radio titled The Exhibition Hour.
