Based in the U.S. Midwest, (Oscar) Arankai emerges in 2022 with a string of independent releases that lay the groundwork for a universe situated between alternative metal, modern rock, and highly emotional writing. His approach blends heavy guitars, melodic choruses, and tensions reminiscent of post-hardcore, with a song format centered on vocal intensity and the contrast between abrasive passages and more restrained moments. Arankai first builds visibility online, where his tracks and videos circulate, before gradually shaping a repertoire identifiable by its introspective tone and direct production. In 2025, Arankai releases A Portrait of Red, presented as the first installment of a trilogy of three albums, a step marking a clearer evolution in the development of his project.
