KEiiNO

Formed in Oslo, Norway, KEiiNO brings together singer Alexandra Rotan, vocalist Tom Hugo and Sámi rapper and joik performer Fred Buljo around an electronic pop sound that blends dance and europop influences with traditional Sámi elements. The trio drew attention in 2019 with "Spirit in the Sky", the song that represented Norway at Eurovision and established the foundations of KEiiNO's sound: highly melodic pop choruses, production tailored for the stage, and the integration of joik within an electro‑pop framework. Alongside a series of singles, the group released the album "OKTA" in 2020, on which KEiiNO explores a spectrum from buoyant pop to more atmospheric tracks while maintaining the dialogue between Sámi culture and contemporary pop songwriting. Alternating studio sessions and European tours, the trio subsequently engaged in several occasional collaborations with other Nordic singers and producers, consolidating their place in the Scandinavian pop scene. KEiiNO's music rests on the contrast between Rotan's and Hugo's voices, Buljo's contributions, and a synthetic production often inspired by club music, placing the group at the crossroads of radio‑friendly pop and more explicitly dance‑oriented aesthetics.
