Dylan Sinclair

In Toronto, singer-songwriter Dylan Sinclair crafts contemporary R&B infused with gospel and soul, shaped by a vocal practice that began at a very young age in a religious setting. Rooted in Canada’s urban scene, Dylan Sinclair emerged in the late 2010s with the EP Red Like Crimson (2018), where the recurring themes of his writing were already taking shape—intimacy, romantic relationships, and a spiritual dimension. He extended this first project with the album Proverb (2020), which affirmed his orientation toward voice-led, personal storytelling in R&B, followed by No Longer in the Suburbs (EP, 2022), built around coming of age and stepping beyond the family sphere. Dylan Sinclair’s style is defined by melodic vocals over slow grooves, dense vocal harmonies, and stripped-down productions at the crossroads of alternative R&B and contemporary soul.
