Based in Houston, Texas, Monaleo crafts a rap sound rooted in Southern tradition while leaning on sung hooks and club-oriented production. She broke out in 2021 as the track "Beating Down Yo Block" spread widely online, then followed with a run of singles blending direct storytelling, dark humor, and forthright commentary on self-esteem, relationships, and everyday violence. The rapper has built much of her trajectory through social media, releasing videos and freestyles that gradually establish the Monaleo universe for an audience beyond Houston. Targeted collaborations, notably with Flo Milli on "We Not Humping," reinforce this identity at the intersection of aggressive rap, melodic hooks, and party energy.
