Straddling heavy dubstep and the South’s funk heritage, Boogie T shapes a sound where bass music meets reggae, hip‑hop, and Louisiana grooves. Behind the moniker is Brock Thornton, a Louisiana‑born producer and musician based in New Orleans, who emerged in the mid‑2010s with tracks released online and picked up by the North American dubstep scene. Boogie T cultivates a style defined by massive basslines, half‑time rhythms, touches of talkbox and processed vocals, while maintaining a melodic sensibility drawn from funk and blues. Active across the bass‑music label circuit, including imprints like SubCarbon Records, he collaborates widely with dubstep and riddim producers and is embedded in the U.S. touring and electronic festival network.
