Vincent Lima

Born in Chicago and raised in New Jersey, Vincent Lima began writing songs early, practicing since childhood before turning to folk in his teens and teaching himself piano. Now based in Nashville, Lima's work is rooted in a tradition of narrative songwriting, drawing as much from 1970s folk figures like Jackson Browne and Cat Stevens as from contemporary artists such as Hozier and Dermot Kennedy. His music combines an intimate folk foundation, a slightly bluesy vocal grain and cinematic arrangements, with lyrics playing a central role. On stage, Vincent Lima has performed across the United States and shared bills with Kaleo, Darren Kiely and Jonah Kagen, establishing a steady presence on the American live circuit. In 2024, the EP Versions of Uncertainty features the single Orpheus and uses the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice as a framework to explore love, loss and the enduring desire to make things right. His debut album, To Love A Thing That Fades, continues this narrative thread around the same characters, unfolding across fifteen tracks with songwriting focused on grief, intimacy and the ways of sustaining attachment to what fades.
