Martin Levac

Quebec drummer and singer Martin Levac has made his mark on the rock scene by specializing in the world of Phil Collins and Genesis, which he approaches as both a performer and an arranger. Trained in the Montréal area, Levac came to prominence around the turn of the 2000s with the tribute band The Musical Box, taking on the role of drummer and vocalist inspired by the Phil Collins era and performing the British group’s progressive rock and pop-rock repertoire on numerous international stages. He later developed his own tribute shows to Phil Collins and Genesis, backed by a steady band with whom he recreates the sounds of the 1970s and 1980s, ranging from pop ballads and FM rock to sections closer to progressive rock. Alongside these stage projects, Levac releases his own compositions and hones a vocal and rhythmic style firmly rooted in the tradition of mainstream British rock while remaining shaped by his background as a Quebec musician.
