Willow Avalon

Performing under the stage name Willow Avalon, the American singer-songwriter born Willow Martin in 1998 in Carlton, Georgia, works within a country-leaning vein focused on personal storytelling and songwriting. The daughter of musician Jim White, credited with the song "Bluebird," Willow Avalon grew up in Georgia before leaving high school and relocating to Los Angeles in 2016 — a move that has informed songs about drifting, family and class relations. As early as 2012 she uploaded her first composition, "Your Not Mine," performed at AthFest on the young artists stage and opened for Drive-By Truckers at the 40 Watt Club, while a brief initial label deal failed to materialize. After the self-produced single "Drivin" in 2021, she signed with Atlantic Records and Assemble Sound in 2023, released the EP "Stranger" in 2024 recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York, and her debut album "Southern Belle Raisin' Hell" in 2025, whose artwork reproduces one of her booking photos. The album release was accompanied by a performance of "Homewrecker" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and a headlining tour in North America extended to the UK and Ireland, followed by a stop at Exit/In in Nashville and a collaboration on "Smoke & Embers" with Waylon Wyatt.
