Liquid Earth

Under the name Liquid Earth, Taylor Freels develops from California an approach to house that draws on American traditions from Detroit and Chicago as well as more European sensibilities linked to the London and Berlin scenes. A producer and DJ, Liquid Earth gained attention with releases on labels such as Let’s Play House in New York and Voyage Recordings in Melbourne, where his writing is centered on groove, rounded basslines and deep-house textures often pierced by tech-house accents. His sets extend this approach by blending classic house, more percussive tracks and club selections that strike a balance between funk warmth and depth. Liquid Earth has also produced mixes for Honey Soundsystem and Butter Side Up, and has appeared on stages like Dimensions Festival and Panorama Bar. Through both his productions and DJ performances, Liquid Earth advocates a mobile and precise house—designed for the club but attentive to subtle shifts in rhythm and atmosphere.
