Hania Rani
Polish pianist and composer born in Gdańsk, Hania Rani — born Hanna Raniszewska — develops work at the intersection of contemporary music, neo‑classical, ambient and minimalist pop. Trained in classical piano in Poland and Germany, she divides her time between Warsaw and Berlin and has built a language centered on the piano, repetitive textures, subtle electronic touches and a voice used sparingly. After an initial duo album with cellist Dobrawa Czocher, “Biała flaga” (2015), she emerged as a solo artist with “Esja” (2019), a solo piano record, followed by “Home” (2020), which introduced more vocals and song‑like structures. She continued with “Music for Film and Theatre” (2021), devoted to her stage and film music, the duo “Inner Symphonies” (2021) with Dobrawa Czocher, and the albums “On Giacometti” (2023) and “Ghosts” (2023). Performing on club stages, concert halls and at international festivals, Hania Rani moves between classical, jazz and electronic music circles.
