Nebula

Born on the Los Angeles rock scene in the late 1990s, Nebula grew up around guitarist and vocalist Eddie Glass and drummer Ruben Romano, both alumni of Fu Manchu, initially joined by bassist Mark Abshire. The band sits in a stoner-rock/heavy-psych vein, combining heavy riffs, garage energy and long psychedelic excursions informed by blues and space rock. Nebula’s first recordings — the EP Let It Burn (1998) and the album To the Center (1999) — established an aesthetic of massive fuzz, slow tempos and extended improvisation, with songs crafted for the stage. They followed with Charged (2001) and Atomic Ritual (2003), which extended that approach while sometimes tightening formats, and then Apollo (2006), marked by lineup changes. After years of touring U.S. clubs, European festivals and desert-rock circuits, Nebula paused activity before re-emerging in 2017 around Eddie Glass with a renewed rhythm section. The studio return yielded Holy Shit (2019) and Transmission from Mothership Earth (2022), on which Nebula continues its blend of abrasive psychedelic rock, repetitive grooves and saturated atmospheres, remaining focused on a direct, rough trio sound.
