Waly Dia
Waly Dia is a French comedian, actor, and writer, born on December 6, 1988 in Grenoble and of Franco-Senegalese origin. He began his stage career by appearing on the TV show On n’demande qu’à en rire (France 2), then joined the Jamel Comedy Club in 2012 and presented his first solo shows — Face à Face(s), Garde la pêche !, Ensemble ou rien — before tackling Une heure à tuer from 2024, a show for which he was nominated for the Molière de l'humour. Alongside his performances, Waly Dia appears on television and in film — notably in À toute épreuve (2014) and Père fils thérapie ! (2016) — and regularly contributes to radio as a columnist. In his work he addresses contemporary and social issues while maintaining a personal style based on speech, observation, and the stage.
