Philippe Lellouche
Born in 1966 in Tel HaShomer, Israel, and raised in France, Philippe Lellouche has built a career at the crossroads of theatre, film and television. Originally a journalist, he gradually turned to acting and writing comedies, establishing himself on Parisian stages with plays he often performs himself, surrounded by a recurring core of actors such as Christian Vadim, David Brécourt and Vanessa Demouy. Lellouche belongs to a strand of contemporary boulevard theatre, combining brisk dialogue, observations of couple relationships and generational themes, delivered in an intimate, accessible register. In cinema he appeared in several fiction productions before moving into directing, notably the feature Nos plus belles vacances (2012) and the film adaptation of his play Le Jeu de la vérité (2014), where he continued this blend of sentimental chronicle and comedy of manners. At the same time he became a familiar face on television as a presenter of entertainment and automotive culture programmes, notably Top Gear France, where he brings his taste for direct exchange and a conversational tone. Occasionally active in music as well, he projects the image of a versatile artist who moves between writing, performing and presenting without confining himself to a single format.
