Lolo Zouaï
Born in Paris in 1995 to French and Algerian parents and raised in San Francisco, Lolo Zouaï has developed a musical voice that sits between contemporary R&B, pop and alternative R&B. She regularly uses both English and French, creating an aesthetic that is at once melodic, supple and marked by hip‑hop‑adjacent rhythms. Zouaï began releasing her first tracks in 2016 and established her universe with a series of singles and the album High Highs to Low Lows in 2019. This initial period was extended by the EP Ocean Beach the same year and Beautiful Lies in 2020, while her second album, Playgirl, was released in 2022. Her career alternates personal releases with writing for other artists—she has a writing credit on H.E.R.’s "Still Down"—and appearances on international pop and R&B stages, touring or opening, notably alongside Dua Lipa in 2022. In 2023 she released the EP Crying in the Carwash, followed by the album Reverie in 2026. Zouaï’s songs often mix intimacy, sensuality, detachment and references to French and American cultures within a pop format that remains close to R&B.
