Based in Brooklyn, JKriv has spent more than twenty years developing a career that sits at the crossroads of disco, house, soul, funk and cosmopolitan-tinged club music. Initially trained as a jazz musician and having come through the live scene before turning more toward the studio and DJing, JKriv has established himself in the New York scene as a producer, remixer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His name remains closely linked to Razor-N-Tape, the label he co-founded and which accompanied the rise of a dance aesthetic anchored in organic grooves, warm rhythms and a marked taste for crossovers between disco heritage, traditional American house and global influences. His discography spans several specialty labels, including Glitterbox, Soundway, Heist Recordings, Moton Records and Z Records, while his studio work has led him to collaborate with artists such as Dimitri From Paris, Adi Oasis, John Morales, Horse Meat Disco or Dames Brown. As a DJ, JKriv delivers eclectic sets blending energetic house, boogie, rare grooves and more off-center selections — an approach also visible in his appearances on The Lot Radio, NTS, Openlab Ibiza or Balamii. In 2025, JKriv released the EP Intuition, extending this trajectory toward a denser and more direct club sound.
