Trobar de Morte
Formed in Barcelona in 1999 around Lady Morte, Trobar de Morte began as a personal project before expanding into a larger live ensemble. The act centers on a universe blending pagan folk, neofolk, darkwave and neoclassical writing with medieval hues. Trobar de Morte’s music pairs airy vocals, percussion, strings and melodies inspired by early music, exploring themes tied to nature, European mythologies and pagan imagery. After the EP Nocturnal Dance of the Dragonfly (2004) and the album Fairydust (2004), the band refined its identity on Reverie (2006) and Legends of Blood and Light (2008). Their approach evolved further with Beyond The Woods - The Acoustic Songs (2011) and The Silver Wheel (2012), before leaning into a more ritual dimension on Ouroboros (2016), Witchcraft (2018) and The Book of Shadows (2020). Active on European gothic, medieval and folk stages, Trobar de Morte has performed several times at Wave-Gotik-Treffen, as well as at Festival-Mediaval and Castlefest, and has shared bills or toured with Faun, The Moon and the Nightspirit, Garmarna and the Orquesta Celta de Barcelona.
