Tiavo
Launched in Saarbrücken in 2015 around Leandros Miltiadis Nassioudis, Tiavo started as a rap project before becoming a duo with producer David Turco and later a stage collective. The German band built its early work on a crossover of hip‑hop, pop choruses and rock energy, audible already on the EP Fast Unfassbar (2016) and the albums Oh Lucy (2018), Raock (2020) and Geister die ich rief. (2021). Through club and festival tours and opening slots for NF, Mike Shinoda and Genetikk, Tiavo evolved its aesthetic toward a more nervous, synthetic songwriting nourished by Neue Deutsche Welle, electropunk and schlager accents. Since 2024 Tiavo has centered on Nassioudis and Xaver Held, with an expanded live lineup, pushing further the transformation hinted at on several singles released between 2022 and 2024. The album Absolute Gewinner, released in 2024, fixes this turn: taut rhythms, angular melodies, spoken word, singing and rap intersect in an abrasive, deliberately off‑kilter German pop. Tiavo thus moves between synthetic chanson, NDW heritage and remnants of rap culture, in a format that mixes stage frontalness with a taste for contrast.
