Tony Melvil
Trained in classical violin, Tony Melvil has since 2009 been developing a career as a singer-songwriter at the crossroads of chanson, musical theatre and creation for young audiences. His writing sits within contemporary French song attentive to the text, with a marked taste for staging and the scenic forms where the music dialogues with theatre. Tony Melvil has built his trajectory through concerts, personal projects and collaborations as a composer, notably with Clarika, Usmar and Prince de Pacotille, while also contributing as an external observer on creations of contemporary or multidisciplinary music. In 2012, he founded the Cie illimitée, the framework in which he develops his own shows in connection with other artists, including Marie Levavasseur, Elodie Segui and Didier Cousin. His work for young audiences occupies an important place, with several musical shows also developed as children's discs, among which Quand je serai petit (2014), Manque à l’appel (2019) and En apparence (2025). Tony Melvil has also been an associated artist at Grand Bleu in Lille and at the Cave aux Poètes in Roubaix, two venues that illuminate his anchoring in the Hauts-de-France cultural scene.
