The School

Based in Cardiff, Wales, The School has been developing melodic indie pop since 2007, propelled by a collective lineup and a strong taste for vocal harmonies. The School first emerged with the single "All I Wanna Do" and the EP Let It Slip, both released in 2008, before issuing their debut album Loveless Unbeliever in 2010 and Reading Too Much Into Things Like Everything in 2012. Linked to the Elefant Records label, The School is part of an independent pop scene that moves between the UK and Europe, featuring an expanded band format that gives their songs a choral color and a clear sense of arrangement. Several members have also been involved in other projects on the Welsh and British scene, notably The Loves and The Voluntary Butler Scheme, placing the band within an indie network that was already active when they emerged. Active over time, The School has maintained this clear, collective pop identity across its releases and performances.
