Thomas Dutronc

Son of Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy, Thomas Dutronc was born in 1973 in Paris. Growing up in such a family helped develop various artistic talents. After trying his hand at photography, Thomas Dutronc devoted himself to music and learned guitar. Music runs in his veins, and he quickly built a distinctive world: a jazzy, manouche-influenced style that swings. At the same time, Thomas Dutronc made film appearances, in «Le derrière» (1988) and «Confession d’un dragueur» (2001). He wrote the song «Mademoiselle» for Henri Salvador and contributed to the composition of «La bonne étoile» by -M-. Drawing on these experiences, he released his debut album in 2007, «Comme un manouche sans guitare». The record was a major success in France, notably driven by the evocative and slightly provocative track «J’aime plus Paris». After an extensive concert tour and a sold-out Zénith de Paris, from which a live album was drawn, Thomas Dutronc returned in 2011 with his second album, «Silence, on tourne, on tourne en rond», produced by the Mercury label.
