Streetlight Manifesto
Founded in 2002 in East Brunswick, New Jersey, Streetlight Manifesto coalesced around Tomas Kalnoky, who had previously been involved with Catch 22 and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution. The American band continues the ska-punk tradition of the 1990s and 2000s but with denser songwriting, a prominent brass section, fast tempos and frequent changes of pace. Streetlight Manifesto blends ska, melodic punk and alternative rock into highly structured songs where choruses rely on collective arrangements rather than a raw approach. After their debut, Everything Goes Numb (2003), they released a new recording of Keasbey Nights in 2006—an album linked to Catch 22—then followed with Somewhere in the Between (2007), 99 Songs of Revolution: Vol. 1 (2010) and The Hands That Thieve (2013). Over the years the band has circulated through punk and independent scenes in North America and Europe, alongside acoustic formats associated with Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, another project connected to Tomas Kalnoky.
